Boca Grande, Florida

Boca Grande is a small community on Gasparilla Island in Lee County, Florida. The name, which is Spanish for "Big Mouth" was named from the waterway south of the island that opens into Gasparilla Sound Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande Pass. The island is home to Gasparilla State Park and two lighthouses and is home to one of the top tarpon fishing spots in the world.

Gasparilla Island State Park offers guests many activities, including snorkeling, swimming, shelling, and nature-watching. The star of the park is the restored Port Boca Grande Lighthouse built in 1890.
