City of Bradenton, Florida

Hernando De Soto led the expedition in 1539 to explore the area known today as Bradenton. The city is named for Dr. Joseph Braden, who used his house as a refuge for settlers during Seminole Indian attacks.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is a graduate school of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy. It's main campus is located in Pennsylvania with a secondary location in Bradenton, Florida.

The Manatee Performing Arts Center is a theater in Bradenton that opened in 1953. It provides the people of Manatee county with dance, music, and theater performances throughout the year.
