Osceola County

Osceola County is located in Central Florida south of Orlando bordered by Brevard, Orange, Polk, Okeechobee and Indian River Counties. 

Osceola County was established in 1887 from portions of Orange and Brevard counties and named for Osceola, leader of the Seminoles who was captured and imprisoned by General Thomas S. Jesup under a flag of truce.

Osceola School District is headquartered in Kissimmee, Florida and organizes the operations of over 50 schools in the area that together serve over 61,000 students. The school district is set to launch the nation’s first K-12 mobile STEM Lab with the goal in mind of providing students with the experience of hands-on, real world activities related to science that enhances their learning.

Silver Spurs Arena is a multi-purpose arena located in Kissimmee, Florida that hosts the Silver Spurs Rodeo events, concerts, family and sporting events.

Florida Technical College is a two-year college with degree programs in healthcare, food and beverage, beauty, and criminal justice. It has locations in DeLand, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Orlando, Pembroke Pines, and Cutler Bay.

Johnson University is a Christian college originally located in Tennessee. Now it has a second location in Kissimmee, Florida which was formally called Florida Christian College. It focuses on undergraduate degree programs for Christians hoping to work in the religious industry.

The Osceola Performing Arts Center hosts many events including corporate meetings, music concerts, and banquet dinners.

The South Orlando Homeschool Christian group is a group that offers functions in the South Orlando and Kissimmee area. We have kids ranging from ages 1-15.
