Florida's Schools move up in National Rankings to 14th Place! (according to the 2008 Quality Counts report). Florida has 67 school districts, 1 for each county. Florida has implemented many programs over the past decade to improve the quality of education and increase student achievement by offering  opportunities to students who need extra guidance, by offering parents and students alternatives to help meet their specific educational needs, and by creating new opportunities to honor and AP students who strive to go above and beyond.
